2 years
We can't believe it's been 2 years since we started Zucchero&Butter. I created the blog when I was senior in college and asked allison to join me. Sorry we haven't been posting on the blog the past few months. allison and I have full-time and part-time jobs so we're always busy working. But we promise to be better this year! Below are a few pictures of what we did this year. We did a lot of eating, cooking/baking, inventing ice creams, shopping at farmers markets, and traveling {to New York}.

Feast {East Village, Manhattan} is a great place to have brunch or dinner with a group of friends. They have a prix fixe menu. Back in June I went to Feast for dinner. For dinner you get to pick either their Farmer's Market Feast, Shellfeast, or Pork Feast. Each feast is a nine course meal. My friends and I ate the Pork Feast....D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S! When allison and I were figuring out the places we want to eat for her birthday weekend, Feast was on the list for brunch. For brunch you choose a free drink, some starters to share, and a plate.

On our last day in Atlanta, Gerogia {back in Feburary} we ate at Olmstead {Midtown, Atlanta} for brunch. The meal was delicious. allison loves shrimp & grits so that was a must-have dish. I'm usually not a huge fan of shrimp & grits but this is probably the best I ever tasted. I loved the sweet corn in the grits.

the lawrence
The Lawrence {Midtown} was another Atlanta stop. Our brunch was delicious and made with quality ingredients. Atlanta also has amazing service. Servers who are excited about the menu and can give a good recommendation are the best. Our own server gave us a brunch discount and held the door for us as we left.

well hello there atlanta!
Our first stop in Atlanta ever...Ria's Bluebird! {recommended by my favorite Atlantan} And ohmygoodness our meal was amazing. We ordered the buttermilk pancakes a.k.a. "the world's best pancakes" --N.Y. Times with toasted pecans & caramelized bananas. Miss this place already.
today's soup : pear & parsnip with a really yummy biscuit
And this is the bluebird burrito {2 eggs scrambled, skillet potatoes, white cheddar, pinto or black beans, topped with salsa verde} with sausage links. The best breakfast burrito we've ever tasted.

le cartet
Our first meal in Montreal, Quebec! We did a lot of research, and Le Cartet was a popular choice among Montreal foodies. We stopped in for breakfast but Le Cartet also offers brunch, lunch, and à la cart for people on the go. A little secret....we had a late breakfast so that we can hang back for lunch to order the soup of the day in the mini orange "Le Creuset". Our meal was simple but thoughtfully prepared and very flavorful.
