2 years
We can't believe it's been 2 years since we started Zucchero&Butter. I created the blog when I was senior in college and asked allison to join me. Sorry we haven't been posting on the blog the past few months. allison and I have full-time and part-time jobs so we're always busy working. But we promise to be better this year! Below are a few pictures of what we did this year. We did a lot of eating, cooking/baking, inventing ice creams, shopping at farmers markets, and traveling {to New York}.

cinnamon peach rum
I am now obsessed with making ice cream. What's so great about making ice cream is you can create your own special flavor. Since peaches are in season for the summer, I had to make a peach flavored ice cream! When deciding what else to mix with the peach, I thought of cinnamon right away {because of peach cobblers}. I also added a little rum to make the flavor more unique. I'm so happy it turned out delicious.

goat cheese roasted cherries
Made homemade ice cream for the first time the other day! I kept putting if off for such a long time because I thought it would require a lot of work, but it didn't. It was simple! Now I can't go back to store bought ice cream...unless it's gelato.
I got the recipe for goat cheese with roasted red cherries from Jeni's Ice Cream. There's lots of recipes in her cookbook I want to try. Can't wait to share them with you.

cowboy cookies
Why are they called cowboy cookies? People say cowboys used to make these cookies for their travels. They were easy to make and filled with nutrients. It's a cowboy's powerbar.
So...what's in a cowboy cookie?--the main ingredient is rolled oats. I added chocolate chips and pretzels in mine.
