le cartet
Our first meal in Montreal, Quebec! We did a lot of research, and Le Cartet was a popular choice among Montreal foodies. We stopped in for breakfast but Le Cartet also offers brunch, lunch, and à la cart for people on the go. A little secret....we had a late breakfast so that we can hang back for lunch to order the soup of the day in the mini orange "Le Creuset". Our meal was simple but thoughtfully prepared and very flavorful.

DIY party
sweet tea w/ strawberries + sparkling apple juice w/ blueberries
Back in early August, Allison threw me a graduation party with my girlfriends. She ordered a white tent so we can have a backyard party. She used mason jars for the drinks and as part of the décor. She served hors d'oeuvres style. Here is a glimpse of the party. Maybe it will give you ideas for your next party!

grange hall
Across the street from Nellcôte, we couldn't help but notice a cute barn-like restaurant with striped awning and a "BURGER BAR" sign.
Grange Hall Burger Bar is known for their farm-to-table philosophy for hamburgers. You also can't miss the "pie of the month", fruity lemonades and teas, and homemade ice cream on the menu. We loved the patterned tablecloths, linen, and antique silverware. Even the sliced lemon and "cuke" {cucumber} in our water was a nice touch.
